No
doubt most of you viewing these pages already know who I am... but for those
who don't, here's the quick glimpse at me...
I was born May 9, 1976 on Mother's Day (try topping that for a Mother's Day gift!), and am the eldest of four - two sisters (Jackie & Julie) and a brother (Steven).
I've lived most of my life in Massachusetts, though we did live in Texas for two years when I was a kid. I went to Dickinson College in Pennsylvania as an English major, and then transferred to Brandeis University as a Comparative Literature/History double-major with a Certificate in Medieval Studies and a minor in Classical Studies. Well, I just couldn't make my mind up, and now find myself pursuing my new passion - New Media, at Emerson College in Boston. (Of course, I was also financially withdrawn from Brandeis for being a $1000 shy of tuition - that started me down the path of working full-time, where I came to discover my love for the internet and for designing websites. Hence, the change in major to New Media at Emerson College).
I am a young, highly idealistic person who would like to believe the world is a far better place than it is. Stories crowd my waking thoughts as often as they do my dreams -- I am writer who hopes someday to see my stories in print. I like to draw, especially in charcoal and pencils, though it is a skill I do not practice as often as I would like. I also love to create websites - though you're probably guessing that already by this site. :) I also love to travel, and hope to see as much of the world as I can in my lifetime. To see new places, to look upon the wonders (both natural and manmade) of this earth - that is a dream of mine.
I am also very young at heart, and in case you couldn't guess by the picture, I love Disney. It epitomizes for me the belief that we should never stop looking at the world with the wonder of a child. We should never force our inner child to grow up. I love Disney World and the magic it holds, and cannot wait to have our wedding there this August!
Lucky for me, John is also a kid at heart, and we both share the desire to make the most of our lives. After all, you can always look for those rainbows, or you can let the toils of life bring you down. We prefer rainbows. :)

Michelle
says I have to fill this slot with stuff about me. I have put it off for a
bit, but now she is giving me THAT look. So I guess I really should do it…
I am single white male, gifted with extremely good looks. I love long walks on the beach, sipping champagne before a roaring fire, and watching the stars at night with my perfect mate. You can call me at… OUCH! Now she is hitting me! Grrr. Okay, okay….
Let's see…
I was born September 7th, 1967. Don't do the math, it's nine years difference between us. That's okay. I am a child in mind and heart. Peter Pan syndrome. I will never grow up.
My brother is Chip, a year older than I. My sister is Cynde, five years younger. I have a mother and a father. Carol and Chuck. I grew up raising German Shepherds (the only REAL dog, after all). Okay, I am doing a personal add again…
Let's try again. I have been accused of seeing life through rose colored glasses. ;-) Damn straight! What of it? So what! I've seen the other side, and I prefer the magic. Let me tell you a story. Michelle's family took a trip to Ireland, and, though money was tight, I went along. It was an eleven day trip. On day two I got sick. Real sick. I should have stayed in bed, but of course I was in Ireland, and who knows if I would ever be back. So I bought a thick and very heavy Aran sweater and scarf, and, bundled like an eskimo, I faced the worst. We drove all over that island. I did the driving, I know. Several days in, I was in such a state of misery that I looked at Michelle while we were exploring a ruin that was over six thousand years old, and told her, "We are looking at piles of rock!" That kinda tells you the mood I was in. Anyway, we went to check out Kylemore Abbey. This is a pretty famous site. I had seen it on countless book covers and movie posters. But I did not put the name to the site, and so I didn't know what we were seeing til we rounded the corner on the wrong side of the road, and their she was! We pulled in. It was pouring. The place was at the base of a small mountain. Across the pond before it, behind us, was another small mountain, and OF COURSE, the sun was shining on that other mountain. I looked to Michelle and I said, about as miserable as I had hit in the entire trip, "If I don't see a rainbow today, I will not believe in magic any more." We checked out the abbey. Smaller than it looks from a distance. It kinda reminded me of Sacred Heart High School, but more gothic. A small church lay off in the woods, and let me tell you, if I weren't getting married in Disney….! So we finally left. Aran sweaters are heavy to begin with. Just add water, and I was carrying about an extra thirty pounds. We climbed into the car, and still, no rainbow. Ah well, in my frame of mind, I wasn't expecting one. We drove back toward the Inn. Suddenly the sky opened above, not with rain, but with sunlight. The air was wet, and the most brilliant rainbow I have ever seen blazed from a hundred yards off the left of the road, to a hundred yards off the right.
I prefer rose colored glasses. Let the grumps see without em. Michelle, her mom, and her aunt spent a while there taking pictures. They have normal photos, panoramic photos, and even combined efforts to match the photos to get the whole thing in one frame. Me, I don't need to. It is one memory I will never forget. Something out there wants me to believe in the magic. It may not be a mouse, but it is there. I believe!
I think that is enough.
