Our
pre-reception celebration was held at the St. James Hall and Patio on the
Boardwalk. We wanted to give our guests something to do while our photos
were being taken, and given the somewhat early hour of our ceremony, give
them the opportunity to get some food and that all important first cup of
coffee.
The St. James Hall and Patio is a beautiful room with huge french doors leading out to a patio. Tables were provided on the patio, but I do not know if any guests took advantage of it, given the heat of the summer day.
Sadly,
I do not really have any photos - at least yet - of the St. James Hall &
Patio from our pre-reception. Hopefully as guests get their photos developed,
some pictures will be provided.
Disney Floral provided the decorations. Each of the cocktail tables were covered in floor length ivory linens, with a large star crystal votive holder and candle on each table. Mickey confetti, in gold and silver, was scattered around the star votive. Many of our friends amused themselves by sticking the mickey confetti to their faces. :)
A huge continental breakfast buffet was served to our guests, artfully arranged on a central table with cherubs and small roman columns providing decoration. Fresh tropical fruit, seasonal berries with dip, breakfast pastries with preserves and jellies, assorted chilled juices, and freshly brewed coffee and tea were all provided for our guests. Since many had not eaten prior to our ceremony - at our advice - they were all grateful for this chance to unwind, eat, drink, and meet one another before the reception began.
