First Dance

Our first dance as husband and wife was to "A Love Before Time" by CoCo Lee. It's a soft, beautiful song that embodies the strength and conviction of our love for one another. We were so caught up in our emotions and our joy that we barely noticed the people around us as we embraced and danced and kissed. It was the perfect beginning to our reception.

Father/Daughter Dance

After our dance, Michelle's father then joined her on the dance floor, and the two of them shared a beautiful, touching dance to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle. When Michelle first heard that song, five long years ago, she knew it would be the song she would dance to with her father, for it embodied so beautifully the love they share. There was not a dry eye in the room, least of all with Michelle and her dad, when this dance was done.

Mother/Daughter Dance

Michelle's mother than joined her on the dance floor, and they shared an emotional dance to "My Daughter Is A Bride" by Mikki Viereck (New Wedding Traditions). It's a song that could have been taken straight from Michelle's mom, so closely did it speak to all she was feeling that day. "I can't believe my eyes, my daughter is a bride."

Second Dance

After dinner, John and Michelle returned to the dance floor to share a second special dance, this time to "From This Moment" by Shania Twain and Bryan White. This had been their 'original' song, chosen after they were engaged in 1997, until "A Love Before Time" was released, heard by them, and became their new song, so truly did it fit them. Still, From This Moment still holds a special place in their hearts, and is truly the perfect newlywed song, as a couple sing to each other of their love.

They also refer to this dance as the "Bubble Dance" for their DJ had everyone come onto the dance floor and surround them in a circle, and everyone took it upon themselves to take the butterfly bubbles placed on the tables and surround the couple in a shower of bubbles as they danced.

Wedding Party Dance

When the second dance ended, we returned to the dance floor and had the wedding party come out dance with us to a special song just for them - "I'll Be There For You" by the Remembrandts. Not only is this a fun, upbeat song that got everyone dancing, but everyone knows the words and sang along. After the first few verses, we had everyone come up and join us in dancing. This song is also fitting, not only because John was a fan of the show, but because we believe in and uphold friendship so strongly, and wanted all of our friends and family to know how much they mean to us.

Special Dance with Mickey & Minnie

Mickey & Minnie made their entrance to the Main Street Electrical Parade music, a medley of classic Disney songs, and shared a dance with the bride and groom. Right before they departed, there was one last dance with them, to a special song: "Remember The Magic" by Brian McKnight. This was the themesong of Walt Disney World during the 25th Birthday Celebration at the Magic Kingdom, when John proposed to Michelle in front of Cinderella's Castle. But it is special not only because it brings back the memories of those days, but also because it is a wish that the newlyweds wished to give to their guests: Remember the Magic. Remember the joys and happiness of your life. Remember the love we have for you, that we are showering upon you today, and never forget what we are all a part of today. It is our hope that in the future, our guests will look back on this day and remember the magic one more time.

Thank You to Our Friends & Family

This song was the next to last song, and was a special song from us to all of our friends and family. "To Our Friends and Family" by New Wedding Traditions is sung from the point of view of the newlyweds to everyone gathered at their wedding, telling them how wonderful they made the day and thanking them for being there. But this is a fun song because it starts off slow, and then builds up, as the newlyweds say that they don't want to the day to end... so hold on, there's a party going on! Everyone get up and dance!

Last Dance

The previous song got everyone up and onto the dance floor in time for this, the last dance of the wedding reception. It may be a popular last dance song, but there was no song that would truly be more fitting for such a wonderful, magic day. Because truly, "I've Had The Time Of My Life." Everyone got up and joined us, dancing, and several people again showered us with bubbles to create one last magical dance before the day was done.
