One
of the greatest things about our wedding was that it meant that our closest
friends and family were with us in "The Happiest Place on Earth"
for several days. Not only did we celebrate our marriage in true Disney
Fairy Tale style, but we were able to enjoy Walt Disney World with everyone.
The celebration lasted all week long, and it was so much fun!
Our guests stayed in Disney for as little as two days and as much as seven, with the majority staying for five. During that time, we planned many little get-togethers to enjoy the best of Walt Disney World together. While it was certainly hot and sticky in August in Florida, we did thoroughly enjoy ourselves.

The first group events began on Wednesday, August 22, 2001, when we met for a Family Dinner at the Hollywood and Vine Restaurant in Disney-MGM Studios. It was seeing our family and friends gathered here together, for the first time, that it really hit home to John and I that our wedding was about to happen... and that all these people were with us because they loved us and wished to celebrate our joy with us. It was the start of a wonderful week together with everyone.
Most
of our guests left on Sunday, August 26, 2001, and so our last major group
events occurred on that day, though it was not as well-planned and we ended
up missing many people. But you can read all about that in the pages that
follow.
To all of our friends and family we joined us in Walt Disney World... thank you. I hope you know that you truly were the happy thoughts of our wedding week. You gave us memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. Thank you for being a part of "The Start of Something Big."
