Our "Last Night Out" as an unmarried couple (or the "Beginning of the End, End of the Beginning") party was held that evening at the Adventurer's Club in Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island. Many of our friends met us for a fun night full of the antics of the Adventurer's Club, and some really good drinks to boot!

The Adventurer's Club is our favorite place in Pleasure Island, and we wish there was one nearer to home!

The premise is that it is New Years Eve (it's New Years Eve every night on Pleasure Island) in 1937, and the Adventurer's Club - a sort of British Gentleman's Club - has opened its doors to the masses, and is allowing everyone to become honorary members for the night.

Initiation Ceremonies are held throughout the night, where you learn the Club's Theme Song ("Marching along, we're adventurers!"), special greeting phrase (Kungaloosh!"), and their secret way of greeting one another. It truly is a hoot, and we recommend it for everyone!

But the comedy doesn't stop there. The Adventurer's are constantly roaming about the club, ad-libbing humor as they go. Each night is truly a new show in that regard.

If you get the opportunity to visit more than one night, you will see that the club members (personalities) are "regulars" and can follow their adventures every night. Sometimes the Cast Members switch roles, so it's also amusing in its own right to watch them play different personalities.

The Colonel (hanging beneath the Club song on the wall), Babylonia (the goddess statue head), the Yakoose (the moose looking head), and the Masks are all characters as well, so keep an eye on them - they will move, talk, and interact with the crowd.

There are four rooms of note in the Adventurer's Club: the main central room where the bar is, and where the Colonel, Babylonia, and Yakoose are. This is where the 'main action' of the Adventurer's Club takes place.

The Trophy Room is one of the side rooms, and showcases the various trophies obtained by the members of the Club. The Genie is also located in this room, and there is a show performed a few times each night in this room.

The Mask Room is another side room, where the walls are lined with many masks. Another show is performed here throughout the night involving the masks. But keep your eyes on this room even when the show is not going on, as the masks often come to life.

The Library is the other big room in the Adventurer's Club, and there are a couple of shows in here throughout the night, lasting twenty to thiry minutes. These shows are always funny, and not to be missed! In here, you'll also get to meet Fingers, the ghost who plays the organ (which fell through the roof).

We started off the evening by getting ourselves some drinks, and finding places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The Colonel decided to pick on our friend, Jake. He started by asking him if he's ever sung to his girlfriend, and then went on from there to razz Jake for not being a good boyfriend (and trying to convince Caitlin to go for him instead!). In the end, the Colonel got Jake to sing for Caitlin. It was a lot of fun!

Afterwards, we all went into the Library for one of the shows, and laughed the evening away as we watch the Club members compete for Adventurer of the Year.

We then went out into the Trophy Room and saw one of the shows there, and laughed along with the Genie. By this time, we realized it was far later than we had attended - approaching midnight! - and knowing that our
alarms were set for 4am, we bid adieu to our friends. Several of them stayed to see the next Library show.

All in all, this last day before our Wedding was truly a wonderful, magical time and though exhausted by the end of it, we wouldn't have traded the laughter and fun for anything.
