The
morning after our wedding came far too quickly, given the late hour we had
gone to bed and the little sleep we had gotten prior to our wedding day.
But though we would have liked to sleep in, we were eager to greet the day
and meet with our friends. And so we rose, bright and early, donning our
bride and groom t-shirts and hats, and took the ferry over to the Magic
Kingdom from the Wilderness Lodge. There, we met with some of our friends
and family for breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.
This
breakfast is by far the most popular Character Meal in Walt Disney World,
and is one of the hardest reservations to come by. Aside from the fact that
the breakfast is held in the restaurant inside Cinderella's Castle, it is
also the only meal where you can dine with Disney Royalty. Cinderella and
her Prince, as well as the Fairy Godmother, can always be found at this
meal, as well as many other Disney Princesses. At our breakfast, we also
met Snow White, Jasmine, and Belle.
The
Fairy Godmother greets you while you wait to be seated. When our table was
announced, the group of us were all seated in tables near each other inside
the castle, where we enjoyed a nice breakfast and got many photo opportunities
with the characters as they made their way around the restaurant.
Our waiter was also great fun, with a dry sarcastic wit, and really played into the role of serving royalty, calling all of us 'girls' "Princess" the entire time. He had us in stitches by the end of the meal, and one of our friends insisted on a picture with him and his signature by the end.
Because
we were celebrating our wedding, our waiter also presented us with a special
gift: Cinderella's Royal Table Wine Glasses. It was the perfect touch, and
a wonderful keepsake to have. We made certain, later on our honeymoon, to
share a toast of champagne in those glasses.
When breakfast was done, we spent a short time in the Magic Kingdom before making our way over to Epcot for our rendezvous with the rest of our friends and family.
