After Cirque du Soleil, many of us planned on meeting at DisneyQuest for a night of virtual reality fun. Several of our friends felt quite exhausted at this point, and decided to call it a night. John and I, though tired, headed on over to DisneyQuest to say hi to those who did show up before retiring ourselves.

It turned out that only Mish and Scott showed up to meet us - everyone else decided to sleep! We stayed until DisneyQuest closed (around 12:30am), enjoying a bit of virtual reality fun.

DisneyQuest is a great place, and a ton of fun. We could spend days in here, just playing all the games. We have yet to try everything it has to offer!

Scott's favorite ride of the evening proved to be 'Ride the Comix,' where you become a comic book Superhero with a light saber, set out to rescue other superheroes from the clutches of the evil villains. It was a lot of fun!

One of John's favorites was the Jungle Cruise, mostly because it has dinosaurs in it. In this ride, you paddle floats (and you do have to paddle... sensors in the wheels on the paddles tell the ride which direction you are moving. Thus, it's very important for everyone in the boat to be paddling the same way, as we learned!) in a wild ride through jungles and caves teeming with dinosaurs. Again, a lot of fun!

My favorite 'ride' is CyberSpace Mountain, where you design your own rollercoaster and then get to ride it. You're put in a virtual reality machine, based on the same mechanics as NASA astronaut training modules, inside of which are two rollercoaster seats and a surround screen where you can 'see' the coaster track as you go. This machine then tips you up, around, side to side, and everywhich direction, simulating the motions of your coaster. It's a ton of fun!

One of the best rides in DisneyQuest, however, is the Pirates of the Caribbean, where you and friends man a pirate ship to shoot other pirate ships out of the ocean (with canons), stealing their treasure, and fighting sea monsters and ghost ships along the way.

We didn't get a chance to explore much of DisneyQuest before it closed, and it's probably for the better. As it was, we did not get back to our rooms till nearly 1:30 in the morning!

But we had a lot of fun meeting up with Scott and Mish, and looked forward to yet another fun-filled day in Disney with our friends and family in the morning.
